服務計畫簡介
國立陽明交通大學印度國際志工 Jullay 團今年與 Jamyang School 的跨國情誼至今已邁入第 13 個年頭。Jullay 13 於 2023 年 7 月 2 日到 2023 年 7 月 22 日重返印度拉達克,並以 Jamyang School 教職員與學生為對象,進行資助計畫、課程活動、校園探勘、田野調查、訪談等服務計畫。時隔三年的空白期,我們也與校方進行線上的交流,確認活動規劃及物資等需求,突破以往的課程設計,我們將主題故事融入課程當中,讓學習者可以用多元的方式學習及了解議題的重要性。除了課程活動外,我們同時持續進行資助計畫的規劃與宣傳,並將重心放在推廣當地學童故事,希望能透過我們和 Jamyang School 學生互動過後的紀錄與書寫,呈現出他們最動人且真實的人生故事,以吸引更多潛在的資助人幫助他們穩健的走在學習的道路上。
服務成果
今年度的服務成果包含了主題式課程—再生藝術、數位教育以及毒品宣導,和各項田調、訪談及小活動。課程設計的部分,我們希望透過再生藝術課程為他們建立回收、垃圾再利用的觀念,數位教育則是透過益智桌遊 Coding Ocean 來建立基礎的程式邏輯概念,毒品宣導課程則是利用演出小短劇的形式來宣導毒品有害健康及如何拒絕誘惑的方式。同時,我們也協助學校募集15台再生電腦、52個耳機、10個視訊鏡頭、1台數據機、1台網路分享器及162本英文書籍,為學校提升數位設備與學習書籍。
我們也在當地進行了課程、資助、畢業生等田調及訪談,藉由親自走訪校園和與師生們的深度訪談,我們把這三年空窗期間逐步的將最新近況記錄下來,了解學校這幾年的步調及未來規劃,在這個交流的過程中我們也與學校的老師、職員、學生建立起深厚的情誼。除了課程活動外,校方也安排了許多交流活動,像是野餐日、拉達克文化日、寺廟參訪日以及覲見達賴喇嘛尊者,讓我們可以更深入的了解當地的風土民情。
未來展望
在課程方面,我們也開始著手規劃校友培力計畫。我們曾經陪伴過的學生有些已經畢業,目前就讀大學。而畢業生採訪中,他們表示願意回母校服務的意願,讓我們開始構思校友培力計畫的可能性。希望能讓畢業校友回來參與 Jullay 團的服務,以助教的角色作為語言的媒介,翻譯與傳達知識給較年幼的學童。校友培力計畫除了希望讓 Jullay團與學生之間的溝通更加順暢、知識的傳遞更有效,也希望透過與畢業生一起設計及執行服務計畫,讓未來 Jullay 團的服務精神依舊能在學校內永續傳承下去。
在資助計畫的部分,以協助 Jamyang School 建立獨立經營的資助模式為永續目標,我們希望Jullay團能與學校發展出一套穩定的合作流程及募資模式,並且將執行權交由 Jamyang School 校方的行政人員管理,培養當地自我經營的能力。而 Jullay 團則擔任協助及顧問的角色,持續進行資助計畫的宣傳與推廣。
Planning Progress
National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University's Indian International Volunteer Group "Jullay" completed its 13th year of cross-cultural friendship with Jamyang School.And this year we visited there again from July 2nd to July 22nd, 2023. The project involved funding programs, curriculum activities, campus exploration, field surveys, interviews, and more for Jamyang School's staff and students. After a three-year pandemic, we reconnected with the school online to plan activities and confirm material needs. Our innovative curriculum included thematic stories, enhancing learners' understanding of important issues through diverse learning methods. Additionally, we continue to promote funding programs, focusing on sharing local children's stories. Our aim is to inspire potential sponsors to support the students' educational journey.
Service Benefit
This year's accomplishments encompass themed courses like Upcycling Art, Digital Education, and Drug Abuse Awareness. We conducted field surveys, interviews, and small events as well. The Upcycling Art course promoted recycling concepts, while Digital Education introduced programming logic through "Coding Ocean". The Drug Abuse Course used skits to highlight the dangers of drugs .Simultaneously, we assisted the school in acquiring 15 refurbished computers, 52 headphones, 10 webcams, 1 data modem, 1 network router, and 162 English books, enhancing the school's digital equipment and learning resources.
We conducted field surveys and interviews with local courses, sponsorships, and graduates. Through visits and conversations, we documented updates over the past three years, understanding the school's progress. During these interactions, we built strong bonds with teachers, staff, and students. The school also organized events like picnic days, Ladakh Cultural Day, temple visits, and meeting His Holiness the Dalai Lama, deepening our understanding of the local culture.
Future Prospects
In the curriculum, we're planning an alumni empowerment program. Graduates expressed strong interest in returning to serve, inspiring this idea. We aim to have alumni assist as teaching assistants, sharing knowledge with younger students using their language skills.
The alumni empowerment program aims to enhance communication and effective knowledge transfer. Collaborating with alumni on service projects ensures Jullay's service spirit continues. Our goal is to help Jamyang School establish an independent funding model. Jullay aims to develop a stable cooperation process and fundraising model, with execution eventually handled by the school for local self-sufficiency. Jullay's role would be assistance, advisory, and continued promotion of funding programs.
